This would fit very well in the Drum 'n Bass category. I hear an old-skool jungle vibe inside this monster.

I love the bitcrushing on this.

Love that break.

Wish you had more recent tunes...

This isn't bad.

It's not great either.

This needs some sort of change-up like a hook or a b-section.

The same melody used all the way throughout the track gets real old real fast.

If you'd like some pointers feel free to check out my tracks and leave me a pm or twelve.

I'll give this a 6/10 for effort.

Keep at it man!

Practice makes perfect!

This is very awesome.

I love the celtic flute.

It fits very well with the rest of the track.

The guitar was a nice touch.

The vocals are what really got me though.

Did you record them or sample them from a library?

Excellent work man!

Mattashi responds:

Thanks man!
The guitar is the only thing I played and recorded.
The flutes and most of the percusions are from Forest Kingdom 2 by Eduardo Tarilonte oh and the vocal is from Shevannai :)

The first 30 seconds of this made me think of the orchestral pieces in Timesplitters.

Great piece you have here.

I don't have much else to say about this.

samulis responds:

Lol, thanks dude. Glad you liked it. :)

Almost perfect.

I love the synth sounds you've got here.

Especially the Arp in the background at about 1:40ish.

The Synth at 2:40 is killer too.

Very ol-skool trancey with the synths here Pyro.

As far as the Bass, it's ok.

I don't much care for growlers.

I'm all about the low-end classic wobbles.

The snare's reverse sound is meh.

Overall, a great track.

This that boom bap, ya'll be looking dumb, ya'll be like what the fuck is that?
This be the godfather of trap minus the rap, so sit down and take a look,
at the weather map, these the facts, better than that dope shit chillin' in ya mama's sack.
Breaking your back, put it on a train track and send it to Iraq,
In a mothafuckin' body bag, oh shit you got lag, why you on the plane dummy?
I told you to stay the fuck off that since if you did I'd be clawing my way outta ya momma's tummy.

Yummy, that's the easter shit I got you last year, I think I had 8 beers and shed a million tears,
This is all of what I got, my sister's unborn ashes lay in a pot in a corner on a cot, but I want you all to stop.

BOULLIE responds:

lemme know if you tryna record thooooooo

I feel like the horn Sample repeats way too much. Get some variation in the mix man. Sample a hook, some Keys..... Just something to change it up, ya know? I liked how it almost changed up at 1:53, but then you just psyche us out! (love that sound at 1:58 that transitions back to the beat)

I understand this is a Sample Battle so I can see where you were coming from. The length of the beat just begs the listeners to stay tuned for the change-up, which sadly doesn't do much besides fuck with our heads.

I love the Sample work though. Great job on flipping it.

BOULLIE responds:

Maybe I shouldn't have put instrumental. The sample battle beats we do end up being used by emcees so the loop is necessary, cause I hate it when people just punch through the choruses -_-

I do need work on my arrangement tho, this is beyond true.

It'll get better, good looks on the honesty, I need more of that in my life lol

I like this a lot. It's got that Space Exploration vibe going on. I feel like this would work wonders in some sort of Futuristic Mockumentary.

As far as the overall track goes I can't vote a full on 5 & 10 due to the way it sounds unmastered. Some of the sounds clash with each other when everything get going about halfway through the track.

Nice work man. I can't wait for the Finished Product.

4/5 9/10

Blackmajiick responds:

EDIT: Fixed the clashing sounds

This is an awesome beat. I don't quite know what the lower register sounds like because I left my cans in my aunt's car last Saturday, but based on your previous tunes I can only guess that the bass compliments everything awesomely. :)

I love how some of the sax hits sound as if they came from a reggae track, but the overall vibe that the others give is more Jazzy in tone.

Grest use of hook vocals too. Sampled hooks are, in my opinion, much better than non-sampled ones.

BOULLIE responds:

Yeah they did! Bam BAM that classic Sister Nancy joint
